Our journey to today.....

Many District 16 families have shared a common interest in trying to grow awareness of off-road riding opportunities for kids.  Over the course of a couple of years and lots of brainstorming, surveys and feedback from businesses in the off road industry a meeting was set during AMA District 16's Annual Awards banquet in November 2017.

This meeting was just the beginning of something much greater than we could have ever imagined.   Youth Off Road Riders presented to clubs and promoters later that day and support flooded in.  The kids that presented had many members in tears.  They were moved by the motivation and drive these kids displayed.  Over the next couple of weeks we had so many families that said they wanted to help.  We had gear donations, monetary donations and volunteers coming forward to help.  We had tracks willing to host our riding clinics and help cover costs of insurance.

By Spring of 2018 we had a handful of clinics scheduled.  We reached out to businesses to help sponsor items we needed for our clinics.  We had many families committed to volunteer with us.  We had organizational items donated to help keep our gear sized.

Our 2018 season was a HUGE success!!!  We had over 100 kids participate in our program, ages 3.5 to 17.  Our results were better than expected.  We had over 30 sets of gear purchased from our sponsors, 15 bikes that we know of were purchased.  We even had 5 clinic riders participate in their first races by the end of the season.  Our group was so proud to be able to be a the finish line with these kids.  It really has changed race day for most of our families.  We love the connections we have made through this group.

We started 2018 with youth focus and we ended our season with families riding.  We had over a dozen women participate in our ladies classes and we had many Dad's purchase bikes to ride with their kids.

At the end of 2020, we have put over 500 kids through our program.
